Weathernews is pleased to announce that Jesse Vecchione, our Regional Head of Business Development, will be a featured speaker at the Adapting to Emerging Technologies conference, hosted by Texas A&M University at Galveston on October 16-17, 2024. Our Speaker: Jesse Vecchione

With over 20 years of experience at Weathernews and a deep understanding of maritime meteorology, Jesse Vecchione is well-versed in how technological advances impact the shipping industry. Starting his career as a duty forecaster in 2004, Jesse has been instrumental in developing Weathernews’ Optimum Ship Routing system, which has become an industry standard for improving fuel efficiency and safety at sea. His extensive international experience, spanning over 30 countries, makes him uniquely qualified to discuss the intersection of weather technology and maritime operations.

Jesse’s session will focus on how new technologies, particularly in weather data assimilation and AI, are transforming maritime operations.
